Nikki and Paulo (and BILLY DEE WILLIAMS, WHAT) was my lowpoint

I mean, I think Nikki and Paulo were everyone’s lowpoint. I think they were the WORLD’S lowpoint. I kind of still can’t believe that storyline happened. But I had totally forgotten about Billy Dee Williams! Selective memory, I think.

#GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURL

#My name is Sayid Jarrah and I am a torturer. #I also am I part-time sassy host of a family relationship tv reality series.

Shannon was the most annoying character on this show (yes, I’m including Michael, Nikki & Paolo, and Ana Lucia in that judgment - COME AT ME, BRO) and Boone was really just there to look pretty, but Sayid’s face in that second gif is everything I loved about LOST.

It may be Star Wars day and Morning Glories day, but it’s also the one year anniversary of Sayid making the ultimate sacrifice and Jin telling Sun he wouldn’t leave her.JIN: I’m gonna get you out of here.SUN: [holds Jin’s face imploringly] Go… Please! Go.JIN: [Subtitle: I won’t leave you. I will never leave you again…] [in English] I love you, Sun. [they embrace and kiss]

#i cried and cried and cried and it was very moving but at the same time i wanted sun to be like THAT’S SWEET HONEY BUT I DON’T WANT OUR CHILD TO BE AN ORPHAN SO GET THAT FINE ASS OUT OF THIS SUBMARINE #sometimes i don’t get why the writers decided to knock sun up at all if they were just going to drop the baby as soon as it was born but then i remember how great all the scenes with juliet were and i’m okay with it

Aughhhhhh you guys I know everyone was really upset about Sun & Jin and SO WAS I but I was also COMPLETELY DISTRAUGHT about Sayid, he of the thighs capable of breaking necks, who was pretty much the reason I stuck with this show during the low points (AHEMSEASON3AHEM). I was SO ANGSTY about the fact that his death was overshadowed by Sun & Jin, and also really annoyed (as the above tag notes) that Sun wasn’t just like “I love you so much, but seriously go take care of our kid, okay?”
Guhhhhh Lost. I have a theory that Lost is like an ex-boyfriend - I enjoyed it at the time, but since it’s ended I’ve increasingly looked back on the relationship and thought, “What in the everloving hell was I thinking? That was suuuuuch a waste of time.”

Funny now or not, this is going down in history as a classic moment in television. The season 3 finale may be my favorite of all of them.
I still think he’s talking to me, after 7 years.

The legacy of the season 3 finale is that to this day, my friends and I will yell “WE HAVE TO GO BACK” in even the most tangentially related circumstances.
Also this image will never not be funny.

So the other day, I saw the word “jears.” It means Jack tears. That’s a word now.
Things like that are why I am happy I watched Lost.

My nerdtastic friends also use “jear” as a verb, as in “I jeared so hard at the Friday Night Lights finale.”
