On the beach at Rockaway, N.Y., c. 1900.
We were there yesterday! It looked… different. Fewer hats.
With the exception of my amazing, ridiculous hat, obviously.

GUESS WHO HAS PINK STREAKS IN HER HAIR??? It’s me. (Excuse the crappy quality of the photos, as I’m trying to covertly use the Photo Booth feature on my work computer.) Like I mentioned, Emily came over last night to help me put in pink highlights—they came out fantastic and I have gotten about a billion compliments. My boss’s boss said she liked them and a cute male co-worker said they were hot. I love them, I love them, I love them. I think they’re going to help me carry the Halloween spirit of fun and adventure into my 25th year, which begins exactly a week from today.
DAMN, GIRL!
It’s a Clueless reunion! Alicia Silverstone comes out to support former co-star Paul Rudd at a screening of his new comedy, Our Idiot Brother, in New York City last night.
This is a sign from the universe that tonight’s screening of Clueless in McCarren Park is gonna be very, very fun. And free of rain!
Cosigned!

I really love preparing new people to go see Sleep No More.
Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling were pretty good together, sure. But me and this haircut and color have the greatest true love that world has ever known.
Hey Julia, remember when I tried to convince you that you should get a pink streak or two? Yeah, I’m gonna try again with renewed vigor every time I see a picture of Rachel McAdams circa this hair.
Sometimes I think about how unfair it is that I’ve never punched someone and probably never will, just because isn’t socially acceptable to settle arguments with your fists and I’m too scared of the consequences (will they call my mother??). Just once, I’d like to get super drunk and belligerent and punch a stranger (preferably an evil stranger who is asking for a punching) and then run away. Is it just me?
You should have punched that asshole who “gently mugged” you instead of hugging him!
But yeah, I’m also kind of sad that I’ve never punched anyone.
Remember when we met this fine, fine man, you guys?
